Márlou Peruzzolo Vieira obtained his Doctor of Music degree from the University of Aveiro/Portugal, his Master of Music degree from the Federal University of Goiás/Brazil and his Bachelor’s degree from the Federal University of Santa Maria/Brazil. He has performed in Brazil, Portugal, Croatia, England, Ireland and Italy, including performances as soloist with orchestras in the south of Brazil. Moreover, Peruzzolo premiered works for solo guitar by Pauxy Gentil-Nunes, Samuel Peruzzolo-Vieira and Marcelo Rauta. Peruzzolo has been honoured with distinct prizes, such as: Rosa Mística Latin-American competition (Curitiba, 2011); Eustaquio Grilo competition (Brasília, 2009) and Musicalis competition (São Paulo, 2007). He was a professor at Federal University of Goiás/Brazil for two years (2009 and 2010) and São Teotónio Conservatory of Music in Coimbra/Portugal during the school year of 2012/2013. From 2017 to 2024 he taught Guitar, Harmony and Counterpoint at the University of Passo Fundo/Brazil. Since 2024 he teaches music at the Federal Institute of Rio Grande do Sul/Brazil.
